Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, with experience across various clinical settings. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing services, supporting patient recovery, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing routine assessments.
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheterization, IV infusion, wound dressing, and specimen collection.
- Document patient information accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Support patients with activities of daily living, including mobility assistance and personal hygiene.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Manage emergency situations effectively by utilizing basic life support skills and airway management techniques.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, medication usage, and discharge instructions.
Skills
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation.
- Experience in diverse clinical environments including hospital medicine, long-term care, assisted living, hospice care, or outpatient clinics.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation procedures.
- Skills in performing venipuncture, phlebotomy, injections, and sterile technique for specimen collection or medication administration.
- Familiarity with specialized care areas such as dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, pediatric or neonatal settings.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.
