Summary
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical components and sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. This role involves using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and mechanical knowledge to ensure products are assembled accurately and meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical components, parts, and systems according to blueprints, schematics, and work orders
Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to complete assembly tasks
Perform basic mechanical fitting, alignment, and adjustments
Inspect and test completed assemblies to ensure proper functionality and quality compliance
Identify defects or inconsistencies and report issues to supervisors or quality teams
Maintain accurate documentation of production, assembly steps, and materials used
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
Assist with inventory, parts handling, and material movement as needed
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production staff to resolve technical issues
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly efficiency and quality
Required Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or technical trade certification
1 3 years of mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical equipment
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and components
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team environment
