The Crane Operator is responsible for safely operating an overhead crane to lift, move, and position large bundles of copper tube stock, materials, and equipment throughout the assigned facility area. The operator utilizes a remote control to manage crane speed and direction and must communicate effectively with machine operators, fellow crane operators, coordinators, and supervisors.

• Operate overhead crane using remote control to move materials safely and efficiently

• Lift, move, and position copper tube stock and other materials across the facility

• Maintain awareness of surroundings and follow all safety procedures at all times

• Communicate effectively with machine operators, crane team, coordinators, and supervisors

• Inspect equipment and report any safety or mechanical concerns

• Ensure safe and precise load handling to prevent damage or injury

• Follow established facility protocols and operational guidelines

• Lift/Carry Push/Pull:

  • 3 pounds Constantly (more than 2/3 of shift)

  • Up to 50 pounds Occasionally (up to 1/3 of shift)

• Standing/Walking: Constantly

• Sitting: Never

• Climbing (ladders/stairs/racks): Occasionally

• Balancing: Occasionally

• Stooping/Crouching/Kneeling/Crawling: Occasionally

• Reaching:

  • In any direction Frequently

  • Above shoulder level Occasionally

• Handling/Grasping: Frequently

• Fingering: Constantly

• Talking: Occasionally

• Prior experience operating overhead cranes (preferred)

• Strong awareness of safety protocols in industrial environments

• Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with team members

• Good depth perception, situational awareness, and manual dexterity

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout the shift

• Industrial manufacturing environment

• Frequent exposure to moving machinery and material handling equipment

• Must adhere to all safety protocols and PPE requirements
