Contract Snapshot
- Location: Jerseyville, IL 62052
- Schedule: 3×12 Nights (36 hrs/week guaranteed)
- Contract Length: 12/17/25 – 3/18/26 (13 weeks)
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- OT: Possible/probable
- Driving: Paramedic will NOT drive — paired with an EMT driver each shift

Responsibilities
- Provide ALS care during 911 calls and transports
- Perform patient assessments, interventions, and documentation
- Operate EMS equipment safely and competently
- Maintain composure during emergency and crisis situations
- Lift and move patients (100+ lbs) throughout shifts
- Work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Collaborate with EMT partners, ED nurses, and medical staff
Patient Population
- Adult and pediatric emergency patients
- Trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and medical emergencies
- Rural setting requiring strong independent decision-making
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Active Illinois Paramedic License (EMT-P)
- CPR – American Heart Association
- Illinois Driver’s License with:
- No suspensions/revocations in past 3 years
- No DUI, reckless driving, or 15+ mph speeding in past 5 years
- EKG course required
- Ability to lift 100+ lbs and work full 12-hour shifts
- Strong communication and crisis-management skills
- Prior EMS experience preferred
